New album – ORGANIC DOROMB by Áron Szilágyi

(Hurgarian below)*

My new solo album, Organic Doromb is out now. I'm verry glad about it. It is made of Jew's harp sounds only (ok, there is an overtone flute, a fuyara and a bit of voice too, but these are marginal), but the whole thing sounds quite electronic. I have cooked something new made from the sounds of one of the oldest instruments along with my friend, Praczas (Rafał Kołaciński). //Huge thanks to Praczi.// There are two tracks with raw, single Jew's harp. I'd like to share some thoughts about the song, "Ketten" (that means duo or the two of us). I recorded this song with my brother, Barnabás Szilágyi in 2011 in New York. We had no plans. We just stood in front of 1 Neumann mic and just let it go, let it flow. What you hear on the album is the first take, single track, first attempt, instictive play as I had to leave for the airport 15 mins later. Of course, we'd played this groove in different forms before, but this time our neurons joined. Enjoy the music, be open, it's quite different from everything that I'd done before. Pretty soon you can find the album on all online music stores, but it seems Google's electro-gnomes were the quickest to digest the bits: https://play.google.com/…/Szil%C3%A1gyi_%C3%81ron_Organic_D…
If you want to hold in your hand (I recommend, it feels nice), you can order from my shop or in the US from CD baby (soon): http://doromb.com/…/…/szilagyi-aron-organic-doromb-cd-detail

A lemezen szerepel két teljesen direkt, egyszáldoromb dal is. Ezek közül a "Ketten"-ről mondanék pár gondolatot.

ADAPT for beginners as much as for more experienced players.

DETAILS
Hungarian dances workshop with Zoord.
Come and try firsthand the aggregate power of the traditional dances in the circle of Csángó culture from Transylvania!
The members of the Zoord group will teach all the steps and play live to accompany the dancers. All dances are very simple, fun and energetic. The lab is also suitable for those who have no experience in dance or sense of rhythm.
The Csángó ethnic group is formed by a Hungarian-speaking community that has moved away from Transylvania (now Romania) to overtaking the Carpathian mountains to settle in present-day Moldavia. Therefore relatively isolated from the rest of the Hungarian population, and thus preserved very archaic characters in the language as well as in music and dances.

Teacher: Aron Szilagyi, son of the famous inventor and builder Zoltan Szilagyi, started playing at the age of three and was able to learn from the most important virtuoso contemporary, reaching the creation of an absolutely unique style and technique. His approach combines traditional techniques with experimentation reaching the boundary with electronics. His dynamic performances are always sure of impact on the audience that alternates astonished contemplation states with the unleashed dance. He has held courses and workshops in Tokyo, New York, Delhi, London, Paris, Warsaw, Berlin, Dakar and many other places and has taught to date at least 6,000 students around the world.
